The Trans Fat Free Story Continues...
With the recent research done by Globe and Mail and CTV (see Ms. Pepper’s blog entry here), there is even more of a signal to the fast food industry to hurry it up to develop these trans fat free oils. With the same frying oil being shipped to all franchises, this will keep the trans fat content of their products at a standard, instead of having a varying amount from outlet to outlet. That will also be a sigh of relief, since what we read on their nutrition information from booklets or their websites will be what we will be eating when we are in the store, whether you are savouring those chicken mcnuggets in Kelowna or Montreal.
